On the next window the 'Default settings' are blank so the only way to proceed is in the 'IP' settings and from there I can successfully install the printer. Unfortunatelly when going to the HP scan no scanners are found and checking on the HP Utility no scanner settings are found I'm running an Imac with OSX 10.10.2 and no peripherals attached. Activate bidefender mac for internet security multi-device subscription. I don't want to run a USB cable as the scanner is to be set up too far from the computer for that.
